WasteShield
advanced power management
WasteShield (Home Premium) is a unique energy saving program that aims to save a typical user around $50 a year (depending on your local energy rates), by automatically managing your computer`s power consumption and putting your PC into sleep or hibernation mode when it us not being used. Unlike the standard Windows Power Management feature which offers limited control over when power should be saved, WasteShield uses Artificial Intelligence to analyze your personal computer usage patterns and to determine when to activate power saving mode without annoying you or harming your productivity. The program comes with a configuration wizard that will analyze your hardware, estimate power consumption and then suggest the initial settings. There are plenty of options to further fine-tune the behavior, if needed. In addition to managing your power consumption, the program also provides a variety of useful reports that allow you to analyze your computer usage and energy waste patterns. It even includes additional tools that allow you to monitor processes and set system temperature alerts. We ran the software for about a week (which is the suggested time for the A.I to become fully effective) and according to the estimates, the computer would save about $30 a year. Of course, WasteShield can be customize for the energy rates/plans and currency in your region of the world. A worthy replacement for the limited Power Management features in Windows that will ultimately pay for itself and help reduce your carbon footprint.
